Janis Carson spent in excess of 30 years working in Further and Higher Education in Glasgow, with more than 10 years at Executive level, latterly as Depute Principal at the City of Glasgow College.
She had a keen focus on social inclusion and widening access to education and opportunity and led many projects which focused on a commitment to equality and inclusion.
The final 9 years of Janis’s career were as Project Sponsor and client lead for the construction of the College’s twin-campus new build project.
The £228 million project brought transformational change and renewal to the City’s Further Education estate. The Project was widely recognised winning many awards including:
