To celebrate the unveiling of the Nelson Mandela Statue in Nelson Mandela Place, Glasgow, on 9 October 2026, the Scottish Nelson Mandela Memorial Foundation has produced a leaflet for the public, a commemorative brochure and a QR code (right) to take you to further information about Nelson Mandela and how the memorial statue came into being.

The leaflet includes the QR code, which can also be found on the commemorative plaque on the plinth of the statue.
The commemorative brochure tells of the history of Nelson Mandela’s association with Scotland, the work of the Scottish Nelson Mandela Memorial Foundation to create both the statue and the educational resource for schools, When Mandela Danced in the Square, and those who have supported this work along the way.
